Do "Lemon Laws" or similar apply to new cnc machine tools? So, I have a new mill from a well known manufacturer that shall remain unnamed for now. Well fairly new, ~ 9 months old. 155 feed cutting hours. I have had now 4 or 5 warranty issues that have put the machine down for a day or more.cnc lemon Question As far as I know, "Lemon" laws only apply to automobiles. But the common law, here (and in Australia) holds that anything someone sells someone else should be able to do the job that they promised it could. Like all things in the law, it depends. Lemon law is warranty law. BUT it must be a "consumer product." OR something that can typically be used for consumer purposes, to get lemon law protection. IF your item fits the bill, you may indeed have a chance to get a remedy.

My Y in the circle was whacked so I went after the Y axis drive motor and drive chain. With motors off I could wiggle the Y about 1/4". (The lemon shape was dramatic on 1/2" holes).
